Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Recover & Refuel (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Recover & Refuel mobile application and recoverrefuel.com website (together, the “Services”). This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and managed when you use our Services.
Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect:
- Account and contact information: name, email address, login credentials or authentication identifiers, and communications with support.
- Athletic and wellness entries: sports, teams, seasons, games, opponents, game statistics, goals and assists, sleep, workouts, food or nutrition information, readiness assessments, goals, notes, and journal entries you choose to provide.
- Teammate and sharing details: team names, recipient information and messages you submit when using sharing or inspiration features.
- Technical and usage data: device and app information, IP address, logs, app interactions, cookies, analytics, and diagnostic data where collected through our website, app, or service providers.
- Subscription information: subscription status, purchase identifiers and entitlement information received from the relevant app store. Apple and Google generally process in-app payment credentials; we do not need your complete payment-card number to verify a store subscription.
How We Use Information
We use information to maintain accounts, deliver game preparation and recovery features, calculate readiness and season summaries, save and display entries, send requested teammate messages, manage access to subscription features, provide support, maintain security, troubleshoot, measure and improve the Services, and comply with applicable law. We do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
Service Providers and Sharing
We may disclose information to service providers that help operate the Services, such as hosting, account authentication, analytics, crash reporting, email delivery, store subscription validation, and media or GIF integrations. Their handling of information is governed by their applicable terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information at your direction (for example, sharing a message with a teammate), to comply with law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. Third-party providers may process limited information needed to deliver their services.
Subscriptions and Payments
Eligible new accounts may receive a 30-day free experience. No payment is required for that experience, and it does not automatically turn into a paid subscription.
If you choose to purchase a subscription, the Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment. We receive purchase identifiers, subscription status and other entitlement information needed to provide access. The purchase screen shows applicable pricing and renewal terms before you confirm.
Data Retention and Your Choices
We retain information while it is needed to operate the Services and for legitimate support, security, legal, and recordkeeping purposes, then delete or de-identify it as appropriate. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable laws and technical limitations. To delete your account and associated active-service data, use My Profile → Delete Account in the app, or follow our account deletion instructions if you no longer have the app. In-app requests disable access immediately and are completed by our team within 30 days, without a second support request. Limited billing-ownership, security, abuse, suppression and deletion-audit records may be retained for recordkeeping, fraud prevention and compliance. Other people may retain their independently saved contacts and copies already delivered to them. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription; manage store subscriptions separately.
Children and Teen Users
The Services are intended for athletes and their families. The Services are not intended for children under 13 to create or operate their own accounts. A parent or legal guardian should manage any permitted use on behalf of a younger child. Teen users should use the Services with appropriate parental involvement where required.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No Internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and External Links
Our website and third-party tools may use cookies and similar technologies to operate, understand usage, and improve the Services. Browser settings may allow you to manage cookies. Our Services may link to external services, such as app stores and third-party media providers, which maintain their own privacy policies.
California and Other Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about our handling of personal data, and rights concerning certain uses or disclosures. Contact us to exercise available rights. California residents under 18 may also request removal of content they posted, subject to applicable legal limitations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our Services change. The effective date will be shown when published, and we will provide any notice required by law.
